Emily Collins

Emily Collins, 6’3, Class of 2022 is from Vernon, Connecticut.

Emily is a powerful team player. No one stops her from getting to the rim. Collins mainly likes to post up with her back to the basket. Once she gets the ball, she uses her body and strength to get to finish at the basket with a soft touch. She embraces the contact using in to her advantage. Emily has good footwork and soft hands which allow her to catch in transition, going right up to the basket. She can step out and hit jumpers, making her both effective inside and out. Collins is superb at setting picks to get her ballhandler open. She has the correct footwork to roll to the basket while looking for the ball to score. Emily also has good eye sight, seeing her teammates in good positions where she can get them the ball.

Defensively, Collins is a shot blocker and rebounder. She has impeccable timing when it comes to blocking shots. Emily is all over the boards to grab rebounds. She runs the floor well for her size and is always looking to convert from defense to offense.
